The reason positive affirmations are reputed not to work is that they target the conscious level of your mind, but not the unconscious. If what you are trying to affirm is incongruent with a deeply held negative belief, then all that results is an inner struggle.
If we are open to change and use the conscious platform to establish these new thought patterns, in conjunction with nutritional changes (turmeric, fish oils and glutathione), we can use the plasticity of the brain to write new neuronal pathways. And if we say our affirmations often enough, perhaps we will catch ourselves in that moment of self-sabotaging weakness and "I can't" will become "I can." One time is all it takes and then our lives take on new meaning as the catalyst for change has been implemented. How to Do This
1. Take our Bodhi Vida affirmations for example. Each of our products has an affirmation pertaining to a specific chakra. Speak the affirmation out loud for about five minutes three times a day - morning, mid day and evening. (An ideal time to do this is when you're putting your skin care products or shaving so that you can look at yourself in the mirror as you repeat the positive statement.)
2. Another option that helps to reinforce the new belief and would be easy to do at work is to write out the affirmation several times in a notebook. Imprint it verbatim at the forefront of your mind.
3. Get a friend or coach to repeat your affirmation to you.
