Alkaline Coffee Mocha Latte

We at Bodhi Vida love our coffee. We limit our intake to 1-2 cups/day and only drink organic coffee. Why organic? Coffee crops are heavily sprayed with pesticides but when you buy organic you benefit from the antioxidants equal to 1 cup of organic blueberries.

Acidity is one of the strongest arguments people have against drinking coffee. But what if there was a way to alkalize your coffee? GREAT NEWS, there it! By adding 2 tablespoons of naturally alkaline coconut oil to your coffee, you neutralize the acidity. Coconut oil is a medium chain fatty acid that directly fuels the brain and prevents dementia and even alzheimer’s. (Hint: the brain needs healthy saturated fats!)

Here is our favorite coffee lovers recipe!

(Makes 1 cup)

1 cup of organic coffee

2 Tbsp coconut oil

1 tsp maple syrup (or 1 T coconut crystal sugar)

1 Tbsp raw unsweetened cacao

Preferred milk of choice (we recommend avoiding all soy and if using cow’s milk, opt for organic & grassfed)

Dash of cinnamon (especially great if you have joint pain!)

Blend ingredients in a blender and enjoy! Play around with the ratios to get the perfect desired taste. If you have dementia or alzheimer’s in your family, we advise consuming this alkaline mocha latte daily and by all means, spread the health and share the love!

HI Hilde…hope you and John are doing well..
One addition to the above… agreed to avoid soy… how about suggesting home made nut or seed milks? Almond, pumpkin seed…. I make it fresh every two days… and put it in my coffee.. also adding ghee…and then blend it all.. soooo good. That aside, I look forward to trying the cacao and cinnamon….

    Love to you both…
